Recognitions

Dr. N. R. Krishnaswamy is the only orthodontist from India certified as a Diplomate of the European Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Krishnaswamy earned the Japan Dental Association Scientific Exchange Scholarship, completing advanced clinical training at Tsurumi University in Yokohama. A respected clinician and educator, he has received numerous national honors, including the Best Paper award and the President’s Rolling Trophy for Best Clinical Paper at the National Conference on three occasions, and the Indian Orthodontic Society’s Best Research Paper award twice.

International Recognition

A sought‑after speaker, Dr. Krishnaswamy has delivered keynote and guest lectures at leading international forums, including the Sri Lankan Orthodontic Society, Malaysian Association of Orthodontics, Taiwan Association of Orthodontics, Japan Orthodontic Society, the World Federation of Orthodontists conference, and Australian professional meetings. He is among the few Indian orthodontists invited to present to the American Association of Orthodontists and has been a headline speaker at national orthodontic and postgraduate conferences for more than three decades.

Academic Leadership & Awards

An active academic, Dr. Krishnaswamy has authored over 50 peer‑reviewed publications and contributed chapters to major textbooks. In recognition of his teaching excellence, he received the Best Teacher award from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 2011. He was awarded the B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Award for the Best Clinical Article in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (2013). Dr. Krishnaswamy has served as President of the Indian Orthodontic Society and as Chairman of the Indian Board of Orthodontics.
